We're proud to announce that the Downtown Rescue Mission has earned Silver Accreditation through the Citygate Network. Citygate exists to strengthen the impact of gospel-centered ministries that work to alleviate poverty, combat homelessness, overcome addiction, address mental health challenges, and empower life transformation.

This accreditation recognizes ministries that demonstrate a commitment to excellence, accountability, strong governance, operational effectiveness, and life transformation. The process includes a thorough evaluation of policies, procedures, leadership practices, and organizational systems.

Silver accreditation validates our commitment to responsible stewardship, organizational transparency, and delivering high-quality services that transform lives in our community. This recognition adds to a growing list of distinctions, including accreditation from the Better Business Bureau and the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), a Four-Star rating from Charity Navigator, memberships in the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions, the Alabama Association of Christian Recovery Missions, and the Association of Christian Thrift Stores, as well as participation in the Combined Federal Campaign. As we continue advancing the life-changing work of Christ through our Mission, we remain committed to continuous improvement—so next year, we’re aiming for gold accreditation!
