Construction Updates
North Alabama’s homeless population is growing. Our Men & Women’s Programs and Emergency shelters are currently at capacity. Additional space is needed to expand programs and ministries. Together, we can meet the needs of our community.
Construction progress is in full swing across our campus!
Men’s Emergency Services: A new awning is taking shape, with brick and block work underway. Floors are complete, and lighting, alarm systems and painting are in progress. Next up, HVAC and plumbing fixtures!
Owen’s House: The expansion is nearing completion! New floors, updated lighting and HVAC are finished, and capacity has been expanded for both the women’s program and emergency services, including additional space for moms with kids.
In women’s emergency services, the new entrance is almost complete, awaiting only HVAC, doors and a decorative gate. Inside, the day room will soon double in size to better serve our guests.

Our expansion project is progressing quickly:
Women’s Emergency Shelter – Exterior block, steel roof beams and foundation complete.
Women’s Program – Exterior block/brick, steel roof, and windows complete; interior work underway with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Men’s Emergency Shelter – Concrete poured, interior walls and underground plumbing complete; electrical and HVAC in progress.

Construction is underway on our new Women’s Emergency Dorms! The foundation is set, and walls are rising, marking a major milestone in expanding shelter and support for women in crisis. We are deeply thankful for God’s provision and the generosity of our community, whose support is making this vision a reality.
