1 Corinthians 15:58 "..give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,"

"if our motive is to love God, no ingratitude can hinder us from serving our fellow man." Oswald Chambers

One of the best ways to help our ministry is to volunteer. Volunteers help us meet the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless by conducting chapel services, serving food and working in our thrift stores.

Would you donate your time to the Downtown Rescue Mission?Volunteers help us perform tasks and projects that are vital to our ministry. Many can not donate money to the mission, but can freely give their time. It saves the mission money by using volunteers and that money can go towards feeding, clothing, sheltering and evangelizing the homeless in the Tennessee Valley.

Would you donate your time to the Downtown Rescue Mission? Here are some areas where we need volunteers:

* Would you donate your time to the Downtown Rescue Mission?Chapel: Assistant Chaplains for Bible studies and counseling plus musicians for worship services.
* Food Services: Cooks and Food Servers.
* Maintenance: Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers, Painters, HVAC Technicians and Building Contractors.
* Bargain Centers: Clothes Sorters and Truck Drivers.

For information concerning how to volunteer please contact Ted Bullock, Director of Community Relations at 256-536-2441 Extension 16 or you can email him at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

The Downtown Rescue Mission is fully financial accountable and invites anyone to inspect our financial records during business hours.
