FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT
Hi, my name is Jimmie Ketona Gallina everyone calls me KK. I want to start off saying how
amazing our Lord is… just when I thought there was no hope for my life as being a meth user for over 20 years. I lost everything I ever loved due to my meth use and my depression and mental illness. My family was worried to the point of constant frustration but had to go on living their lives. But they never stopped praying for me.

I lost my children my everything. Then 16 months ago I hit my knees and begged God to help me change my life after suicidal attempts. Continuing on I knew I wanted to live and that God was my only Hope. So I went to my uncle and we both cried. He asked me if I was ready to give my all to Jesus and needed his help.This is when we found the Downtown Rescue Mission Program. I came into the program in July of 2022 and believe in my heart God led me here. My family and I are so thankful for everything the Downtown Rescue Mission does. So many lives are changed here. I wouldn’t be here to have the honor to tell my testimony if it wasn’t for all their help. I love my Mrs. Cara and Ms. Patty and the rest of the staff as well.

I am a 2023 graduate of the program and have been clean for 15 months. The biggest thing in my life now is finding God and knowing he never left me. My family is back in my life and my daughter that I am so proud of. God has provided a great job with the help of the mission getting me back and forth. So grateful for all that has happened. Almost have enough for a car because God is blessing me everyday. So if you are reading this never give up. Know God loves you and is with you every step of the way. God Bless You!
